Rosann Bazirjian Honored with National Award from the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS)

Retiring Dean of University Libraries Rosann Bazirjian has been awarded the ALCTS Honor Award in recognition of her long standing dedicated service and leadership to the Association.   Founded in 1957, ALCTS is the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, a division of the American Library Association.   Its members are dedicated to acquisition, identification, cataloging, classification, and preservation of all kinds of library materials; are tasked with developing and coordinating the country’s library resources. ALCTS Honors are given by the ALCTS Board of Directors for outstanding contributions at all levels within ALCTS, stellar dedication to service, uncompromising commitment to excellence, willingness to accept challenges, and a sustained and exemplary record of moving ALCTS forward.

Assistant Dean Beth Bernhardt Elected to National Post

Assistant Dean for Collection Management and Scholarly Communications Beth Bernhardt is the Chair-Elect for the Association of Library Collections and Technical Services - Collection Management Section for 2015/16 and will become chair in 2016/17. This section supports library professionals who perform collection management and development while selecting and evaluating all types of library materials in all types of institutions.
